Outside With Jesus began with a simple conviction: creation speaks. You feel it in your soul. It draws you in. It stirs wonder and gratitude, humility and worship. And when we look at creation through the lens of Scripture, something deeper comes alive. The world God made was meant to be seen through the Word God gave. That is the space Outside With Jesus lives in.

The OWJ mission is to help people explore how their faith and their love for the outdoors work together, and to express their faith with greater boldness and confidence.

You can stop reading right there, and you understand the brand.

The long story is about an idea for a devotional book with that same purpose, written by an unknown author. Unfortunately, unknown authors don't often get published without a lot of additional behind the scenes work. (Respect to every author ever!) In a desperate attempts to attract a publisher that author started posting short form devotional content on social media, trying to build a platform that might get noticed.

It didn't work.

Several years later, bowed but not broken, he decided to start a brand instead. OWJ is that brand. Now, in addition to, hopefully, awesome merch, you can find an ever-expanding library of devotional resources suited to the OWJ mission.

Check out our Field Notes to find a new National Park devotion every week. They're free. For additional devotional resources, check that tab on the header.
